The Blair / Bedford Builders
Association is committed to serving
its members and the Blair and
Bedford County communities. Here
are some of the ways in which
the Association demonstrates
its commitment to area causes
and needs:
Represents more than 140 members
in the two-county area, including
more than 75 professional builders,
remodelers, plumbing, mechanical
and electrical contractors.
Members server on various advisory committees at the Greater Altoona Career and Technical Center and the Bedford County Technical Center.

Works with the Pennsylvania Builders Association to maintain the NAHB/PBA Endorsed Trades Program for both the GACTC and the BCTC.
Provides evaluators for the various trade endorsement programs as well as the NOCTI testing for students at both schools.
Partnered with the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center and the Bedford County Technology Center to promote the value of careers in building and related trades.
Financially supports, and does volunteer work, for various charity groups throughout Blair and Bedford Counties to include: Mountain Lion Back Pack Program; Mending Hearts Animal Rescue; Dreams Go On; Habitat for Humanity; Jaffa Shrine Children's Hospital; Respiratory Disease Society of Central Pennsylvania - Cribs for Kids Program; Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation - Operation Small Steps; WALY Warmth; Operation Our Town; Blair County Breast Cancer Awareness; Frankstown Elementary All-Abilities Playground Project and Tiger Pack Program.
Is a member of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce, the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce and the Pennsylvania Housing Reasearch Center.
Provide assistance to hundreds of property owners and housing consumers with locating a contractor for the job they wanted done.
