Biweekly e letter May 26, 2019

Here's the biweekly report of local, state and national items of interest that affect your business, the building industry and our association. Our apologies for missing the May 12th e letter.

Before we get started with the current news and events....let's pause to offer our recognition to all those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending this wonderful nation of ours. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones left behind by these brave men and women.

Headlines and Announcements:

24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is in the Books:
We had Mother Nature's full cooperation for our golf tournament on May 23rd. The weather forecast was not promising as Tornadoes were moving Northeast and heading right for our area. We had a brief period of rain that moved in-and-out rather quickly and only dampened our spirits for a few golf holes.

The Golf Committee will be recommending to the Board of Directors a monetary donation to be made to the Hollidaysburg Tiger BackPack Program based on proceeds from the Par 3 holes and the Player-Package sales.

Now we would like to recognize our sponsors who helped make this tournament very successful:
Tournament Sponsors: CNB Bank; Lowe's of Altoona; Reliance Bank and Versatex, LLC through Lezzer Lumber.
